Take a deep breath. A really deep breath. Pull the air in very far, very deep into your lungs and then into your belly. Hold it in for a moment and feel the sensation of how the air feels inside of you. Slowly, let it out as your belly goes back to its resting state. Allow the air to be cleansing and pure.
How did you feel before and after that short breath? Do it again. I hope it helps you.
How often do you do that? How often do you remember that you exist inside of your skin? As you focus on the outside world, do you remember that you are an integral part of it? The universe exists inside and outside of you.
I invite you to join me on a new journey of mine. Mindfulness is one of my long-loved interests and now that my basic education is being completed, I want to find a more concentrated discipline. My dream is to learn all I can about mindfulness and apply it in a therapy practice. From the few journal articles I have read, the results look promising as a complementary form of therapy.
I want to help people. As a humanist, I love people and believe that everyone deserves to live the best life possible.
